For the first time, the Carolina Panthers will offer a Spanish-language television broadcast of their preseason games. The organization has partnered with Telemundo to air these games across North and South Carolina. This move aims to make Panthers football more accessible to Latino fans as the team prepares for the 2025-26 NFL season.
Telemundo will carry all Panthers preseason games in eight regional markets through its local affiliates: WDKT (Asheville, NC & Greenville-Spartanburg, SC), WZCH (Charleston, SC), WSOC (Charlotte, NC), WTES (Columbia, SC), WTGC (Greenville-New Bern, NC), WXIV (Myrtle Beach, SC), WRTD (Raleigh, NC), and WTWL (Wilmington, NC).
The preseason schedule includes home games against the Cleveland Browns on August 8 and the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 21 at Bank of America Stadium. The team will also play away at the Houston Texans on August 16.
Kristi Coleman, chief executive officer of Tepper Sports & Entertainment and Carolina Panthers team president, said: “This partnership with Telemundo is an exciting opportunity to bring Panthers football to even more households across the Carolinas. As the region continues to grow, we’re proud to strengthen our connection with Latino fans by making our preseason broadcasts more accessible than ever before.”
Carlos Ramirez will serve as play-by-play announcer for Telemundo’s Panthers broadcasts. Ramirez brings experience from his work with San Francisco 49ers Spanish-language coverage and other national networks. He stated: “I’m honored to be part of this historic moment for the Carolina Panthers as we bring Spanish-language coverage to preseason games for the first time. It’s a privilege to represent both the Panthers organization and our vibrant Hispanic community. My goal is to carry on the team’s tradition of excellence in Spanish broadcasting—now on a new platform—and to share my passion for football with fans across the Carolinas and beyond. I can’t wait to connect with Panthers fans this preseason!”
Ariana Figuera joins as color analyst. She has previously worked as Telemundo’s Sunday Night Football sideline reporter and contributed commentary for NFL Network and ESPN. Figuera said: “I’m incredibly honored to join the Carolina Panthers broadcast team as the organization’s first female TV analyst. I’m deeply aware of the responsibility this role carries, and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to continue growing the game while making history in a league that has given me so much. It’s a privilege to bring my passion and dedication to this incredible team. History has a voice!”
Spanish-language broadcasts will follow English-language versions closely but deliver commentary entirely in Spanish; sideline interviews will remain in English.
The first game under this new arrangement is scheduled for Friday, August 8 at Bank of America Stadium.
