Fans attending games at Bank of America Stadium will now be able to listen to live broadcasts without delay through a new feature on the Panthers app. The Carolina Panthers have introduced an ultra-low-latency streaming service, provided by StreamGuys, that allows real-time access to the Panthers Radio Network’s play-by-play and analysis.
Previously, fans who used their phones or radios inside the stadium experienced a lag of several seconds between the live action and the broadcast audio. This new technology removes that delay, offering a synchronized experience for those in attendance.
“StreamGuys is always impressed with the Panthers’ drive to innovate and implement new technologies that put their fans first,” said Tim LaBelle, head of sales at StreamGuys. “We’re excited to support the Panthers’ real-time play-by-play audio as the latest evolution in our strong relationship over the last six years.”
The system will make its debut during tonight’s preseason game against the Browns. Fans with tickets and the Panthers app can access this feature from anywhere within Bank of America Stadium.
