Today, the Carolina Panthers announced a new partnership with Telemundo to broadcast their 2025 preseason games in Spanish. This marks the first time in franchise history that the team’s preseason games will be aired in Spanish across North and South Carolina.
Telemundo, owned by NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, will expand its Spanish-language programming in key markets throughout the Carolinas. The network aims to provide easier access for fans to enjoy the early season excitement as the Panthers prepare for the 2025-26 NFL season starting this September. Beginning in August, all preseason games will be broadcast across eight regional markets through local affiliates including WDKT Telemundo in Asheville, NC & Greenville-Spartanburg, SC; WZCH Telemundo in Charleston, SC; WSOC Telemundo in Charlotte, NC; WTES Telemundo in Columbia, SC; WTGC Telemundo in Greenville-New Bern, NC; WXIV Telemundo in Myrtle Beach, SC; WRTD Telemundo in Raleigh, NC; and WTWL Telemundo in Wilmington, NC.
Kristi Coleman, chief executive officer of Tepper Sports & Entertainment and Carolina Panthers team president stated: “This partnership with Telemundo is an exciting opportunity to bring Panthers football to even more households across the Carolinas. As the region continues to grow, we’re proud to strengthen our connection with Latino fans by making our preseason broadcasts more accessible than ever before.”
The broadcasts will feature Carlos Ramirez as the play-by-play announcer. Ramirez has extensive experience from his previous work with San Francisco 49ers’ Spanish-language broadcasts and other NFL-related commentary roles. Ariana Figuera will join him as the color analyst. Figuera is a veteran of the Telemundo network and has contributed to NFL Network and ESPN.
Panthers games on Telemundo will include existing partner integrations and in-game billboards. Commentary will be entirely in Spanish while sideline interviews remain in English.
The Panthers are set to begin their 2025-26 preseason at home against the Cleveland Browns on Friday, August 8 at Bank of America Stadium.
