Charlotte FC is set to face Sporting Kansas City in a midweek match at Children’s Mercy Park. This encounter marks the first meeting between the two clubs and Charlotte’s fifth game against a Western Conference team this year. The team aims to improve its current record of 2-1-1 against Western opponents.

The match will take place on Wednesday, June 25, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the game on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV or listen to it on WFNZ 92.7 FM in English and WOLS 106.1 FM in Spanish.

Charlotte FC will be without key players Patrick Agyemang and Tim Ream, who are participating in the Concacaf Gold Cup with the U.S. Men’s National Team. In their absence, Wilfried Zaha and Pep Biel are expected to lead the attack, supported by Idan Toklamati and Tyger Smalls.

Sporting KC’s Dejan Joveljic, recently acquired from LA Galaxy, leads his team with ten goals this season. Manu Garcia has contributed six assists, while Daniel Salloi and Shapi Suleymanov have each added four assists. Goalkeeper John Pulskamp has been a consistent presence for Kansas City, starting all 18 matches with three clean sheets.

Interim Head Coach Kerry Zavagnin has guided Sporting KC to a record of 4-5-3 following the departure of longtime head coach Peter Vermes.
