Charlotte FC’s Patrick Agyemang and Pep Biel have been recognized for their performances by being named to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for week 15. The team’s recent 3-2 victory over Columbus Crew SC marked the end of a five-match winless streak in league play.

Agyemang, who was recently called up for a USMNT training camp, scored two goals in quick succession after Charlotte fell behind early in the match. His first goal came from a header in the 19th minute following a corner kick by Pep Biel. Five minutes later, Wilfried Zaha assisted Agyemang with a pass that allowed him to score again. This performance means Agyemang has now scored in three consecutive matches across all competitions and has five goals in his last six games.

Biel’s contribution against Columbus raised his season tally to 11 goal contributions, including four goals and seven assists. He is close to breaking the club’s single-season assist record set by Kamil Jozwiak in 2023.

Zaha also had an impactful game with two assists, marking his first assists of the season and bringing his total goal contributions to six this year. His performance included creating five chances during the match.

Currently positioned 8th in the Eastern Conference with 22 points, Charlotte FC will face New York Red Bulls on Wednesday as they start a series of five away matches.
