The third-round results were as follows: the No. 1 black ensemble consisting of a helmet, jersey, pants, and socks garnered 56% of the votes, outpacing the No. 5 silver-and-blue combination at 44%. Last season, the black helmets were utilized in all three permissible games. However, the NFL recently announced during the annual league meetings that teams can now wear throwback or alternate uniforms four times this season, allowing an additional appearance for the black helmet.
