As the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup approaches, FIFA has announced the 34 Team Base Camp Training Sites that will host the 32 participating clubs during the group stage. These sites are spread across 14 states in the United States, from Florida to Washington and New Jersey to California. The selection of these sites aims to extend the tournament’s impact beyond just the cities hosting matches.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström stated, “We’re pleased to confirm the Team Base Camp Training Sites that will host qualified clubs throughout the group stage of the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup.” He emphasized that these sites and their surrounding communities will provide top-notch environments and hospitality for teams from around the world.

Grafström also highlighted the potential for strong connections between clubs and local communities, saying, “The clubs, their players, coaches, management, staff and fans will build incredible connections with the local people that support them throughout the tournament.”

Florida leads with nine training sites selected for multiple clubs. Other states such as California (5), New Jersey (4), North Carolina (3), Virginia (2), Tennessee (2), and Washington (2) also feature prominently. Additional locations in Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and West Virginia are set to play key roles by offering elite training environments.

Several Major League Soccer (MLS) training centers have been designated as Team Base Camp Training Sites. These include facilities from Charlotte FC, DC United, Inter Miami CF, Nashville SC, Philadelphia Union, and Seattle Sounders—highlighting MLS’s developed infrastructure.

Teams will also use various other facilities throughout the competition. Venue Specific Training Sites near match stadiums will serve as hubs for teams before matches and during playoffs.
