The Carolina Panthers will be without defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton for their upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks, marking his third consecutive absence due to a hamstring injury. The team confirmed Wharton’s status on Friday.
In Wharton’s place, Bobby Brown III is set to start again. Over the last two games, Brown has contributed eight tackles, half a sack, and a quarterback hit during matchups with the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Panthers also listed four other players as inactive for Sunday: wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, safety Demani Richardson, defensive tackle Jared Harrison-Hunte, and tight end James Mitchell.
Additionally, linebacker Trevin Wallace was placed on injured reserve Saturday. To fill the roster spot, hybrid linebacker/safety Isaiah Simmons was added to the lineup.
Rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan remains active despite being a late addition to the injury report due to an illness that arose Sunday morning.
For the Seahawks, inactives include quarterback Jalen Milroe, safety Coby Bryant, linebacker Jared Ivey, tackle Charles Cross, guard Bryce Cabeldue, tackle/guard Mason Richman, and nose tackle Brandon Pili.
The Carolina Panthers play their home games in Charlotte and have operated as a professional football team in the NFL since 1993. More information about their venues and operations can be found on their official website. Fans can also access news updates and ticket resources through the team’s website.
