The Carolina Panthers have published their depth chart for Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season, ahead of their game against the San Francisco 49ers. The team reported no new injuries, resulting in an unchanged depth chart from the previous week.

During Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons, several players took on expanded roles. Linebacker Claudin Cherelus started in place of Trevin Wallace, who remains sidelined due to injury but is still listed as the starting inside linebacker and is considered week-to-week.

Rookie defensive back Corey Thornton saw his highest number of snaps this season as the Panthers relied heavily on defensive backs. This adjustment was necessary because rookie Lathan Ransom was out with an injury. However, Ransom’s injury is not expected to be long-term, and there are no changes to the depth chart at any defensive back positions.

“After no new injuries, the depth chart remained the same from last week.”

“There were players who saw more playing time than typical on Sunday in the Falcons’ win, as well as some new starters. Linebacker Claudin Cherelus started in place of the injured Trevin Wallace. Wallace is still considered week-to-week though, and remains the starter at inside linebacker.”

“Rookie Corey Thornton played his largest snap count of the season on Sunday, as the Panthers used a heavy defensive back set, and needed to replace snaps from rookie Lathan Ransom, who was sidelined with an injury. Nothing was considered long term though, and the depth chart at all DB positions remains the same.”
