The Carolina Panthers recently conducted their annual Keep Pounding Day, engaging in community service across North and South Carolina. The event is inspired by the team’s motto, attributed to Hall of Famer Sam Mills, and is about giving back to the communities in the Carolinas.

Nicole Tepper, Chief Administrative Officer at Tepper Sports & Entertainment, expressed the organization’s commitment, saying, “Keep Pounding Day is about standing alongside our communities and giving back to the people who are at the heart of the Carolinas.” She noted the significance of players, former players, staff, and fans coming together for charitable activities.

The Panthers organized various events, including a Play 60 day in Greenville, South Carolina, teacher appreciation activities and a Habitat For Humanity build in Charlotte, a veterans center visit in Asheville, and a program at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, South Carolina.

Panthers receiver Adam Thielen commented on the impact of these activities, saying, “When you’re at these events you realize, man we got to do more of this because it’s so good for a lot of aspects.” He participated in the Teacher Appreciation Day at Walter G. Byers School in Charlotte, emphasizing the importance of teachers and noting the value of community interaction outside the football field.

The Teacher Appreciation Carwash at Walter G. Byers School included vehicle washing for teachers, enhanced by additional gifts. In West Charlotte, volunteers worked on a Habitat For Humanity home build, sponsored by Bosch, involving various construction activities.

In Asheville, volunteers collaborated with Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) to assist veterans, including those affected by Hurricane Helene. Activities involved preparing supply backpacks and social interactions.

The initiative also included an Adaptive Play 60 Day in Greenville, promoting fitness for 75 youth participants at a Play 60 Camp. Additionally, at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, volunteers engaged with high-risk teens through gardening and mentorship activities.
