The Carolina Panthers, one of the younger franchises in NFL history, are entering their 31st year in the league. Known as the “Cardiac Cats,” they have provided many memorable moments for both their fans and the league. As they prepare for the 2025 season, a look back at some historical plays against each of their upcoming opponents offers a nostalgic journey through their past.

In Week 1 against Jacksonville, a notable moment from the 2015 season saw Josh Norman intercept Blake Bortles and return it for a touchdown. The following week in Arizona recalls Julius Peppers’ impressive interception against Kurt Warner in 2009.

Week 3 features Cam Newton’s performance against Atlanta during their pursuit of an undefeated season in 2015. A significant victory over New England came in Week 4 of the 2017 season with Graham Gano’s decisive field goal.

In Week 5 versus Miami, Newton showcased his running ability with a long gain deep into Miami territory. The Panthers’ first Super Bowl run included a key play by Steve Smith Sr. against Dallas in Week 6 of that campaign.

A defensive highlight occurred in Week 7 against the New York Jets during the 2017 season when Luke Kuechly returned a fumble for a touchdown. In Buffalo, Deangelo Williams delivered an unforgettable fourth-quarter run in Week 8 of the same year.

Against Green Bay in Week 9 of the 2008 season, Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith combined for a crucial play that led to victory. A pivotal interception by Josh Norman secured a win over New Orleans during their successful start to the 2015 season, highlighted again in Weeks 10 and later on.

Last year’s finale saw Bryce Young’s confident pass leading to victory over Atlanta, while Wesley Walls had standout performances against San Francisco early in his career with Carolina.

Kurt Warner makes another appearance as Jimmy Hitchcock’s interception return was key to defeating St. Louis Rams during “The Greatest Show On Turf” era. A late-season game-winning drive led by Cam Newton against New Orleans capped off another remarkable contest.

Carolina’s quest for an undefeated regular season ended with Tampa Bay but was followed by decisive victories including one over Seattle where Luke Kuechly shone once more with an interception return for touchdown during playoffs.

Finally facing Tampa again brings back memories from Chris Gamble’s defensive heroics alongside Julius Peppers back in Week Nine of their historic run years ago.

These moments not only highlight individual brilliance but also underscore teamwork which has defined much success throughout franchise history thus far—a testament shared amongst fans eagerly anticipating what lies ahead this coming year too!
