The Carolina Panthers have named their team captains for the 2025 NFL season. The announcement was made on Monday by head coach Dave Canales.
Team captains were selected through a vote by players. Quarterback Bryce Young, defensive tackle Derrick Brown, and long snapper JJ Jansen were chosen for the roles. The team will also appoint a rotating weekly captain throughout the season.
Young has been named captain for three consecutive seasons. Brown retains his title as captain for a second year in a row. Jansen returns to the role after previously serving as captain in 2021 and 2022.
Jansen holds the franchise record for most games played, with 260 appearances. This total places him 41st all-time in NFL history and second among active players, trailing only Calais Campbell.
