The Carolina Panthers have reached an agreement with wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, bringing the veteran Pro Bowler onto the roster. The move comes as second-year receiver Jalen Coker is set to be placed on Injured Reserve after suffering a quad injury during Thursday’s practice.

Renfrow, who played his first five NFL seasons with the Raiders, did not participate in the 2024 season as he managed ulcerative colitis. He returned to football this offseason and joined the Panthers for training camp, taking part in two preseason games. Renfrow is originally from South Carolina and played college football at Clemson.

Jalen Coker’s placement on Injured Reserve means he will miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season.
