The Carolina Panthers have signed two players to their active roster after placing Robert Hunt and Austin Corbett on injured reserve following injuries in Sunday’s game against Arizona.

To fill the open spots, the team added linebacker Maema Njongmeta from the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad and center Nick Samac from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Njongmeta, who entered the league as an undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin, appeared in 17 games for the Bengals last season, mainly contributing on special teams.

Samac was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 draft from Michigan State, where he earned Academic All-Big Ten honors three times. He did not play in any games last year and was released during this year’s final roster cuts.
