The Carolina Panthers have signed linebacker Krys Barnes, adding a player with NFL experience to their roster. Barnes, 27, previously played for the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals. He started 24 games over three seasons with the Packers from 2020 to 2022 and had six starts last year while with the Cardinals.

To accommodate Barnes on the roster, the Panthers released rookie linebacker Tuasivi Nomura. Nomura joined the team earlier this spring as an undrafted free agent from Fresno State.
