The Carolina Panthers have released defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy as they adjust their roster following recent acquisitions. Crumedy, who was selected in the sixth round of last year’s draft, was among six defensive linemen retained when the team reduced its roster to 53 players.
The move comes as the Panthers claimed cornerback Damarri Mathis from the Denver Broncos and wide receiver Dalevon Campbell from the Los Angeles Chargers. These claims required roster adjustments, leading to Crumedy’s departure prior to Wednesday’s practice.
Additionally, a roster spot became available after wide receiver Adam Thielen was traded earlier in the day to Minnesota.
