Charlotte FC players Patrick Agyemang and Tim Ream have been named to the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 26-player roster for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. They will participate in international friendlies against Turkey on June 7 and Switzerland on June 10, as well as the Gold Cup Group Stage matches from June 15-22.

The USMNT begins Group D play against Trinidad and Tobago at PayPal Park in San Jose, California, on June 15. The team will then face Saudi Arabia at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, on June 19 and conclude the group stage against Haiti at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on June 22.

Patrick Agyemang has a personal connection to Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, where he attended his first USMNT game in 2010. Agyemang hails from East Hartford, Connecticut. He has progressed through various levels of soccer before joining Charlotte FC in MLS and earning his first USMNT call-up earlier this year. He has scored three goals in four matches for the national team.

The USA-Switzerland match will serve as a send-off before the Gold Cup and will take place at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 10.

Agyemang impressed during his initial national team camp with goals against Venezuela and Costa Rica during January Camp games. In club competition this season for Charlotte FC, he has recorded eight goals and two assists across all competitions.

Tim Ream is currently the most capped player for the USMNT with a total of 68 appearances. He played a key role during previous tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup and helped secure victory in the last Gold Cup edition (2023-24). Recently featured as captain during March’s Concacaf Nations League Final match against Panama.

This year’s Gold Cup represents an important opportunity for preparation ahead of next year’s World Cup hosted by Canada alongside Mexico; automatic entries were granted due to hosting status shared between these countries plus neighboring USA who aims towards securing its eighth confederation championship title having achieved past victories ranging from inaugural tournament success back ’91 through subsequent triumphs over decades including latest being celebrated just few years ago back ’21!
