Senator Thom Tillis, who represents North Carolina in the United States Senate, posted a series of updates on his social media account addressing recent events and notable achievements.

On April 15, 2026, Senator Tillis shared an image from Washington, D.C., stating: “The U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. at the crime scene.”

Two days later, on April 16, 2026, he congratulated a local athlete with the message: “Amazing. Congratulations, Charlise, on this historic moment! North Carolina is proud and ready to cheer you on in the WNBA.”

Later that same day, Senator Tillis commented on a federal appointment by former President Trump: “Outstanding pick by President Trump! Cam Hamilton is a true professional who understands the critical mission of FEMA. This is great news for North Carolina and our ongoing disaster recovery efforts.”

Senator Tillis has been recognized for his bipartisan leadership and advocacy for veterans’ issues and military family support. He serves on several Senate committees including Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; Finance; Judiciary; and Veterans’ Affairs. According to his official website, he lives in Huntersville with his wife Susan and their family. Before joining the Senate, he was speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives and previously worked in the private sector at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM.
