Atrium Health Care issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
South Lake Pediatrics Becomes Three Separate Practices
10.01.2020 ATRIUM HEALTH NEWS | LEVINE CHILDREN'S
Practices within the Atrium Health Levine Children’s South Lake Pediatrics network (formerly South Lake Pediatrics – Huntersville, South Lake Pediatrics – Mountain Island Lake and South Lake Pediatrics – Denver) are committed to providing the best care to the children and families in the surrounding communities – which is why the decision has been made to separate these practices to allow them to become even more patient and community focused.
Starting October 1, the three Atrium Health Levine Children’s South Lake Pediatrics locations will become separate practices:
- The Huntersville location will continue to be known as South Lake Pediatrics.
- South Lake Pediatrics - Mountain Island Lake will become Mountain Island Pediatrics.
- South Lake Pediatrics - Denver will become Denver Pediatrics.
Additionally, families will have increased access to see their provider of choice while maintaining the same, excellent care close to home. All three practices are taking extra precautions to keep children and staff COVID-Safe with the implementation of enhanced safety measures to ensure patients and their parents feel confident and comfortable at every visit.
The Huntersville location will continue to offer weekend hours, while the Mountain Island Lake and Denver locations will offer weekend hours during the winter months. There are also nearby Atrium Health Urgent Care locations that can see patients for any pressing need on the weekends.
For the convenience of patients, secure electronic medical records can be accessed by the providers at any Atrium Health office.
Atrium Health Levine Children’s looks forward to being able to better serve these communities. Please contact your pediatrician with any specific questions regarding this new change.
