Charlotte Center City Partners laid out the details of its Innovation Fund Round 3 grants available to Charlotte small business owners who have implemented a unique adaptation to managing their operation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qualifying small business owners throughout Charlotte who advanced their business are eligible to receive between $20,000 and $40,000 in funding, a release on the Charlotte Center City website said. The funding must be used to adapt to the pandemic and exclude payroll, vendor payments, rent and other daily operating expenses.

Priority will be given to small businesses that have created "unique experiences for neighborhoods," have created a "distinctive product or services," and who have "exceptional community engagement," according to the Charlotte Center City Partners. Eligible businesses include those with 50 employees or fewer as of March 1, 2020, and those who suffered significant impacts from the pandemic.

The Round 3 grant funding will be open from Oct. 26 through Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at noon and those businesses interested in applying can contact innovationfund@charlottecentercity.org for more information.
