Charlotte Fire Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
Charlotte Fire would like to congratulate Firefighter Benjamin Atwell to the rank of Captain. Captain Atwell started in Recruit Class 92 & has been a member of CFD since October 21, 2013. Promoted to Firefighter II in July of 2017, Atwell was assigned to Ladder 4.
