The third quarter of 2021: Home prices in Charlotte increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Charlotte rose by $51,000 while total sales increased by 10.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 5,650 homes sold, with a median sale price of $311,000 - a 19.6% increase over the $260,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 5,093 homes sold in Charlotte in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,071, approximately 0.7% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
