The median sale price of a home sold in May in Charlotte rose by $62,000 while total sales decreased by 5.4 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May, there were 1,626 homes sold, with a median sale price of $370,000 - a 20.1 percent increase over the $308,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,719 homes sold in Charlotte in May 2021.

The median sales tax in Charlotte for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,071, approximately 0.6 percent of the median home sale price for May.
