If you’d like to pick up some extra money ahead of the holiday season, United Parcel Service (UPS) expects to have plenty of opportunities as the company looks to add more than 1,240 workers in the Charlotte area.
"We have made our hiring process as easy as possible,” Nando Cesarone, UPS executive vice president and president of U.S. operations, said in a recent WCNC report. “UPS’s strength has always been our people, and we are excited about the opportunity to welcome new UPSers to our team as we deliver what matters for our customers this holiday season.”
The application process should generally only take approximately 25 minutes using a streamlined digital-first process, the report said. Also, approximately 80% of the open positions will not require a job interview.
Open positions the company is looking to fill include full- and part-time seasonal package handlers and delivery drivers.
The company hopes to fill the positions by offering competitive wages in locations all around the country, the report said. The hourly wages for seasonal package drivers start at $21 per hour.
