City of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department will take part in the city of Charlotte’s ‘2022 Char-Meck Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Conference’ in November.
The event is a collaborative effort, hosted and organized by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, Charlotte NC, Mecklenburg EMS Agency - Medic, Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC, and the CMPD.
The conference will explore ways to incorporate components of diversity, equity, and inclusion into organizational structures – specifically geared for public safety employees, corporate leaders, HR professionals, and government officials.
