City of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.
There is still time to donate to the CMPD's collection drive for the Safe Alliance Domestic Violence Shelter. It runs until tomorrow, October 31st.
Safe Alliance DV Shelter houses more than 100 victims and their children every night of the year, and they are in constant need of critical household items to support the families they serve.
The CMPD DV Unit collection bins are located at each of the department’s 13 patrol division offices.
You can donate items off of the list to aid Safe Alliance to continue its work of helping victims of domestic violence.
You can also purchase and donate gift cards from Target and/or Walmart in the range of $10-$20 to help Safe Alliance purchase the needed items.
We thank you in advance for supporting the CMPD DV Unit’s efforts this month and beyond to bring awareness to Domestic Violence.
