City of Charlotte issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
Each year, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee (CRC) leads a community-wide celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK). The march will take place on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023. The line-up will begin at 2 p.m. at the intersection of Tryon and Phifer Streets and the march will begin at 2:30 p.m. The route will go down Tryon Street, make a left on 3rd Street and end at Marshall Park. The wreath-laying memorial will begin promptly at 3 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
The march will not include:
