Running back Rashaad Penny was placed on the reserve/retired list Tuesday morning. The veteran, who previously played under head coach Dave Canales in Seattle, had signed with the Panthers in May.
Penny, 28, spent five years with the Seahawks and last season with the Eagles. Over 45 games, he accumulated 1,951 rushing yards and scored 13 touchdowns.
To fill his roster spot, the Panthers signed wide receiver Tayvion Robinson. An undrafted rookie from Kentucky, Robinson was previously in Ravens camp earlier this spring. He is currently on the field.
