Charlotte FC and Honeywell announce a multi-year partnership
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Wednesday, January 26, 2022) – Charlotte FC announced today a multi-year agreement with Honeywell, signing on as the club's official partner and sustainability and healthy buildings partner. Honeywell is working to create an enhanced stadium experience at Bank of America Stadium by implementing air quality monitoring solutions through a real-time customized Healthy Buildings console. The Healthy Buildings console can help CLTFC and stadium facility staff quickly identify and address critical building control issues, including air quality factors such as carbon dioxide levels, temperature, and humidity. The company is also collaborating with CLTFC and the stadium to identify opportunities to improve energy usage in support of the organization’s environmental, sustainability, and governance (ESG) goals.
“We are pleased to welcome Honeywell to the Charlotte FC family,” said Charlotte FC President Nick Kelly. “Honeywell is an important part of the Charlotte community and, as our neighbor in uptown, this partnership is an extraordinary opportunity to achieve our sustainability goals as we build a strong foundation for the Club and provide exciting experiences for our fans.”
Honeywell is also the main sponsor for all player signings for CLTFC's inaugural season, including the 2021 MLS Expansion Draft held last month where CLTFC added three players to its roster and executed two trades.
“We are excited to be part of CLTFC’s inaugural season and provide fans with an exceptional experience in our hometown of Charlotte,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Honeywell Jeff Kimbell. “We look forward to continuing our work at Bank of America Stadium to support a healthier and more sustainable stadium environment for players, coaches, and fans.”
The first match of the 2022 season will be played away against D.C. United at Audi Field on Saturday, February 26th, followed by the first MLS match at Bank of America Stadium against LA Galaxy on Saturday, March 5th.
