Charlotte FC has announced the signing of Polish forward Karol Świderski from PAOK on a Designated Player contract through the 2025 season, with an option for 2026. The transfer is pending the receipt of a P-1 visa and ITC. Świderski, 25, will occupy a spot on the club's international roster.
Świderski joined PAOK in 2018, scoring 35 goals in 135 appearances and adding 14 assists. During his time in Greece, he won three trophies, including the Super League Greece title in 2018-19 and two Greek Cups.
"We are delighted to welcome a player of Karol's caliber to Charlotte FC to spearhead our attack," said Sporting Director Zoran Krneta. "He has proven to be a lethal goal scorer at both club and international levels, and securing his signing as our first Designated Player is a significant achievement for our Club."
Świderski made his debut for Poland in March 2021, scoring in a 3-0 World Cup Qualifier victory against Andorra. He made nine appearances during the qualifying campaign, scoring five goals to help Poland finish second in Group I. Świderski also played in all three matches for Poland during EURO 2020.
The forward began his career in Poland with Jagiellonia Białystok, where he scored 25 goals in 128 matches before moving to PAOK. Świderski is the second Polish player on Charlotte FC's inaugural roster after Jan Sobociński.
