CHARLOTTE — Tight end Tommy Tremble returned to practice, but two key veterans were held out of Wednesday's session.
Punter Johnny Hekker (back) and outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) did not participate in the first practice of the week ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Tremble (hamstring/back) was listed as a limited participant, as were three offensive linemen. Starting guards Robert Hunt (shoulder) and Damien Lewis (groin) were listed as limited, along with backup tackle Yosh Nijman (tibia).
