Charlotte FC forward Patrick Agyemang has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following his standout performance in a 4-0 victory over the New England Revolution at Bank of America Stadium. The match saw Agyemang score one goal and provide two assists.

Midfielder Pep Biel also earned recognition, securing a spot on the Team of the Matchday bench due to his goal and assist during the game.

Agyemang made an immediate impact after substituting for Karol Swiderski in the 63rd minute. Within two minutes, he set up Biel for a goal by beating two defenders and delivering a precise pass to Biel at the top of the six-yard box.

In the 77th minute, Agyemang added a goal to his performance. Djibril Diani sent a long ball to Biel, who then played it into space for Agyemang. He struck it one-touch into the far-post netting.

Agyemang's influence continued as he received the ball outside the box and passed it to Diani, who laid it off to Kerwin Vargas. Vargas finished with a shot to the far post.

The 23-year-old forward is currently Charlotte FC’s leading scorer with eight goals this season. Acquired through the 2022 MLS Super Draft, Agyemang made his MLS debut in May 2023 and has appeared in 39 matches since then.

Charlotte FC will next face Inter Miami on Saturday, September 28th at Chase Stadium. The team has four matches remaining this season, with two at home and two on the road.
