The Panthers practiced without five players Wednesday as they began their preparations for the Bengals this weekend.

Defensive linemen A'Shawn Robinson (knee) and Shy Tuttle (foot) were held out, along with right guard Damien Lewis (elbow) and special teamer Lonnie Johnson (hip).

Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney didn't practice, but his was a rest day and not injury-related.

Running back Chuba Hubbard was limited, but that was also for rest purposes and not injury-related. Hubbard had 169 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in last week's win over the Raiders.

Safety Nick Scott (quadriceps) was also limited, while quarterback Andy Dalton (foot) was a full participant.
