On the second day of the Charlotte Hornets' training camp at Duke University, Head Coach Charles Lee expressed satisfaction with the array of options available to him, particularly in the wing positions. The team is experiencing a healthy competition for playing time among several players.

Miles Bridges is expected to carry a significant load on the wing due to his durability and experience. However, other positions are open for competition. Newcomer Josh Green has impressed early in camp with his versatility and effort plays. Green was acquired from Denver as part of a six-team trade, which also included Reggie Jackson and future draft picks.

President of Basketball Operations Jeff Peterson highlighted Green's skill set: “Josh is another young player who fits what we're about in terms of just the intangibles,” he said. “He’s very skilled, can make shots and is a two-way player.”

Coach Lee plans to utilize Green in various roles, stating that he will be involved more in ball handling and facilitating due to his well-rounded game.

Veteran Seth Curry returned to Charlotte after being traded from Dallas. Known for his shooting ability, Curry is eager to contribute off the bench and help guide the younger players on the team. “I wanted to be here," Curry said about returning to Charlotte.

Cody Martin returns healthy this season after missing time due to injuries over the past two years. He aims to earn minutes in Coach Lee's rotation while also mentoring younger teammates like first-round pick Tidjane Salaun.

Salaun has shown high energy during camp but acknowledges that learning NBA subtleties is crucial for his development. "I try to follow the energy and instruction of the coach," Salaun said regarding his approach.

As training camp continues, Coach Lee will evaluate how these options can provide different dynamics on both ends of the court throughout the upcoming season.
