The Charlotte Hornets have released their schedule of theme nights and giveaways for the 2024-25 season. The events are designed to engage the team's diverse fan base through cultural celebrations, holidays, and other special occasions.
The season will begin with a commemorative Opening Night giveaway on October 26 when the Hornets face off against the Miami Heat. Among the notable events is Buzz City Kids Day on December 28 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where 5,000 fans will receive a Hornets Friendship Bracelet. Additionally, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 20 will feature a game against the Dallas Mavericks, with 5,000 Brandon Miller bobbleheads available for fans.
Two previously announced Hornets Cup games are part of the Emirates NBA Cup: one on November 29 against the New York Knicks and another on December 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers. During these games, attendees will receive rally towels and roller banners respectively.
Longtime partner Lowe’s is set to present Holiday Hoopla during a matchup with the Houston Rockets on December 23. The annual Pride Night celebration is scheduled for January 7 when they play against the Phoenix Suns.
In the latter half of the season, highlights include an annual "704 Night" presented by Ally on January 25 versus the New Orleans Pelicans and HBCU Night on February 1 against Denver Nuggets. Somos Los Hornets Night is slated for March 1 in a game against Washington Wizards.
As part of closing out their regular season activities, bet365 will sponsor Sports Betting Night on March 20 in a game with New York Knicks. A Buzz City Appreciation Week presented by Dr Pepper will take place during their final two home games: April 6 versus Chicago Bulls where fans can get a Hornets Sherpa Bucket Hat and April 8 facing Memphis Grizzlies.
