The Charlotte Hornets faced a challenging game against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, ultimately securing a 138-133 victory. Despite losing a significant lead, the Hornets managed to regain control in what was described as a "chaotic roller-coaster-like contest."

Cody Martin stood out with a career-high 25 points, surpassing his previous season total of 21 points. Tre Mann led the team with 27 points, while Nick Richards contributed significantly with 24 points and 14 rebounds. The turning point came late in the third quarter when LaMelo Ball initiated an 18-1 run that helped the Hornets regain their lead.

Charlotte's performance in the first quarter was notably strong, using runs of 9-0 and 17-3 to establish an early advantage. However, Toronto responded effectively in the second quarter with Gradey Dick and RJ Barrett leading their comeback effort.

The Hornets' bench played a crucial role, outscoring Toronto's reserves by a wide margin. This marked only the fourth time in franchise history that multiple reserves scored over 25 points each.

Hornets Head Coach Charles Lee expressed pride in his team's resilience: “I’m proud of the team for staying together... I’m very impressed with how we kind of regrouped and gathered ourselves in some adverse times.”

Looking ahead, Charlotte will face the Boston Celtics at home on Friday.
