Charlotte Hornets announce partnership with merchandise provider Idegy

The Charlotte Hornets have entered into a multi-year partnership with idegy, a branded merchandise agency known for its work with major brands and sports teams globally. This agreement makes idegy an Official Partner of the Hornets, assisting Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) with printing and promotional needs. This includes arena branding as part of the Re!magine Spectrum Center renovation project and fan giveaways during the Hornets season.

"We are pleased to have idegy as an official partner of the Charlotte Hornets," stated HSE Chief Marketing Officer Seth Bennett. "Throughout the organization, we’re focused on elevating our offerings – and that includes our branding and marketing partners. idegy understands our bold organizational vision, and our Hive Mentality, and is helping us generate more buzz through branded merchandise at Hornets and Spectrum Center events."

To launch this partnership, idegy provided fan giveaways for Opening Night, distributing 13,000 Carolina Strong T-shirts to foster unity among fans while highlighting Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Additionally, 10,000 Hive Mentality Rally Towels were distributed to promote the team's new tagline. Future giveaways planned for the 2024-25 season include a Hornets Cup Rally Towel on November 29 and Buzz City Kids Day Friendship Bracelet on December 28.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Charlotte Hornets," said idegy CEO and Founder Mathew Grossman. "Our experience in the branded merchandise industry is unmatched and we’re set to be instrumental in delivering branded merchandise that amplifies the Hornets iconic brand in Charlotte and beyond."

Besides promotional support, idegy gains rights to use team marks and logos as part of their Proud Partner designation.
