The Charlotte Hornets provided an update on player injuries on November 30, 2024. LaMelo Ball has been diagnosed with a left calf strain after further evaluation. The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of the game against Miami on November 27. Ball missed the subsequent game against New York due to soreness in his left calf and is expected to be out for tonight's game against Atlanta. He will be reevaluated two weeks from the date of the injury.

In addition, Tre Mann remains sidelined for tonight's match against Atlanta. Mann has been out since November 23, following a game against Milwaukee, due to low back soreness that has now been identified as disc irritation. His rehabilitation will continue with a reevaluation scheduled in two weeks.

Ball has shown remarkable performance this season, achieving career highs with an average of 31.1 points and 4.7 three-pointers per game, both ranking second in the NBA. Additionally, he averages 5.4 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.1 steals over 18 games this season—all starts. Since being drafted third overall by the Hornets in the 2020 NBA Draft, Ball has played in 202 games (182 starts) across five seasons, maintaining career averages of 21 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game along with leading his team in triple-doubles (10). He earned recognition as Rookie of the Year for the 2020-21 season and was named an All-Star in the following year.

Tre Mann joined the Hornets via trade from Oklahoma City Thunder on February 8 and has achieved a career-high average of 14.1 points per game this season alongside contributing averages of 2.9 rebounds and three assists over thirteen games played so far—placing him sixth among NBA reserves who have appeared in at least ten matches this season.

Mann began his professional career when selected by Oklahoma City as their first-round pick (18th overall) during the NBA Draft held back in July last year; since then accumulating stats like nine-plus point-per-game scoring performances while participating actively within regular-season contests spanning four seasons thus far.
