Hornets sign Isaiah Wong to two-way contract

Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations Jeff Peterson has announced that the team signed guard Isaiah Wong to a two-way contract. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed, in line with team policy.

Wong has played seven games this season for the Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz. During these appearances, he averaged 26.1 points, with shooting percentages of 47.2% from the field, 42.1% from three-point range, and 86.1% from the free-throw line. He also contributed an average of 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Notably, Wong scored a career-high 41 points against Rip City Remix on November 20.

In his G League career, Wong has been selected for the G League Up Next game in 2024 and holds averages of 17.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists over 52 games (36 starts). Originally selected by the Indiana Pacers in the second round (55th overall) of the 2023 NBA Draft, Wong made his NBA debut with them on April 1, 2024.

Wong's college career at the University of Miami was marked by significant achievements including three All-ACC selections and an ACC Player of the Year honor for the 2022-23 season.
