Jadeveon Clowney, the 31-year-old outside linebacker for the Panthers, did not participate in practice on Thursday. This is part of a strategy to ensure he is prepared for game day. "That's why it was a light day trying to get the body ready to go for Sunday," Clowney explained. He emphasized that this season has been particularly taxing due to increased playtime, stating, "Just beat up, wore down from the season. It's been a long season."

Clowney has played 564 snaps over 12 games this season and is on track to exceed his previous year's total with the Ravens. He noted that his current team requires him to be on the field more frequently than before, contributing to wear and tear.

The Panthers' defense leads the league in snap counts, increasing physical demands on players like Clowney. He stated that managing recovery throughout the week is crucial: "It's just recovery, just managing my week-to-week as far as recovery process." Despite these challenges, Clowney remains confident about performing well on Sundays.

Meanwhile, rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette recently shared an unusual dietary preference during an appearance on the St. Brown Podcast. Known for being selective about vegetables, Legette surprised host Equanimeous St. Brown by admitting he eats raccoon meat.

Legette brought some raccoon meat to share with teammates at practice but found few takers except veteran David Moore from Texas. Moore commented after trying it: "If you've never had it, look alive."

In other team news, Adam Thielen discussed changes in the receiving corps due to injuries ahead of their recent game against the Cardinals. The group featured primarily undrafted players except for David Moore.

Reflecting on his career and fellow receivers' development under coach Rob Moore's guidance, Thielen remarked: "It says a lot about coach Moore and his kind of mindset of preparing guys." Thielen praised Coach Moore's experience as vital in developing successful players.
