The Carolina Panthers have placed running back Chuba Hubbard on injured reserve due to a calf injury. The decision came after Hubbard practiced on a limited basis and was listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week. Following practice, he reported pain, leading to an MRI that revealed a Grade 2 calf strain. This injury will sideline him for the last two games of the season.
Hubbard has had an impressive season, rushing for a career-high 1,195 yards, ranking sixth in the league as Week 17 approaches. He also achieved a personal best with 10 touchdowns this season. Last week, Hubbard was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against the Cardinals, where he rushed for 152 yards and scored two touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown in overtime.
