The Carolina Panthers faced a challenging game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where quarterback Bryce Young was pressured on 68.6 percent of his drop-backs, according to Next Gen Stats. This marked the highest pressure rate faced by any quarterback in a game this season. Offensive guard Robert Hunt acknowledged the effectiveness of Tampa Bay's strategy: "I think they did a good job of just putting pressure on us, bringing pressure from different places, and just making us be on top of our game."

Despite being sacked five times, Young continued to find opportunities downfield. He completed three out of six deep pass attempts for 88 yards and two touchdowns, doubling his career total for deep touchdown passes. Offensive coordinator Canales praised Young's resilience: "He was a stud about it. He just kept battling." Canales also explained that an aggressive play-calling style contributed to these opportunities.

Young has demonstrated an ability to handle pressure since returning as a starter in Week 8. According to NGS, he has thrown five touchdowns without an interception under pressure during this period, tying with Lamar Jackson for the most touchdowns without an interception. His performance includes an average of 8.3 yards per attempt and a passing success rate of 36.4 percent against pressure.

Looking ahead, the Panthers will face the Atlanta Falcons next week. Although tied for the second-fewest sacks in the league at 31 total, the Falcons have increased their pressure rate since their Week 12 bye. As Hunt expressed optimism about ending the season positively: "That's the goal, man, to come out and compete and try to win a football game."
