The Carolina Panthers have secured the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft following a 5-12 season. The draft order, determined by teams' strength of schedule, saw the Panthers edge out the New York Jets for the eighth spot due to a lower strength of schedule number.

The Titans will have the first pick, followed by the Browns, Giants, Patriots, Jaguars, Raiders, and Jets. After the Panthers select eighth, the Saints and Bears will follow with the ninth and tenth picks respectively.

Historically, picking eighth has been favorable for the Panthers. Notable selections from this position include cornerback Jaycee Horn in 2021 and running back Christian McCaffrey in 2017. Both players earned Pro Bowl honors during their time with Carolina. Other significant players drafted at this spot include Hall of Honor left tackle Jordan Gross in 2003 and running back Tshimanga Biakabutuka in 1996.

In total, the Panthers hold nine selections for April's draft, including eight within the first five rounds.
