The Charlotte Hornets have reported that guard Brandon Miller has sustained a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist. The injury was confirmed following an MRI after Miller was hurt during the team's victory in Utah on January 15. The Hornets stated, "Miller will be listed as OUT indefinitely and additional updates on his status will be provided as appropriate."
This season, Miller is recording personal bests with averages of 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists over 34.2 minutes per game across 27 games. Since being selected second overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Hornets, the Alabama alumnus has career averages of 18.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game over a total of 101 games played.
In his rookie year, Miller achieved third place in Rookie of the Year voting and earned recognition as a 2024 NBA Rising Star.
