The Carolina Panthers have added another player to the Pro Bowl roster, with guard Robert Hunt joining cornerback Jaycee Horn at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. Hunt replaces Eagles guard Landon Dickerson, who is preparing for the Super Bowl.

Hunt, 28, joined the Panthers as a free agent last March and quickly integrated into the team's new dynamic. He played every offensive snap in the first 16 games before missing the season finale due to a knee issue. Throughout the season, he allowed just 2.5 sacks and was called for holding once, achieving a quarterback pressure percentage of 6.8.

Reflecting on his progress from being a fifth alternate with the Dolphins to a second alternate this year, Hunt said, "I can't say that was snubbed. I just know I can be better... Maybe next year, I kick the door down."

Hunt's presence contributed significantly to reducing sacks from 65 in 2023 to 36 last year and aided running back Chuba Hubbard in reaching career highs with 1,195 rushing yards and ten touchdowns.

Hunt's blocking style has also fostered competition among linemen like Ikem Ekwonu. "It boosted it up," Hunt commented on how watching game film motivated them to outperform each other.

This marks the first time since 2021 that two Panthers players have been selected for the Pro Bowl. Last year, Derrick Brown was their sole representative.
