Today, Senator Thom Tillis commented on the release of Keith Siegel, a North Carolina native who had been held captive by Hamas for over a year.
“Today, after more than a year in the brutal captivity of Hamas, North Carolina native Keith Siegel is finally free and reunited with his family, including his beloved wife Aviva," said Senator Tillis. He added that while this is a moment of relief and celebration, attention must also be given to other hostages still in captivity.
Senator Tillis expressed confidence in the Trump Administration's ongoing efforts with Israel to secure the release of remaining hostages. He emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance during what he described as a "fragile ceasefire" that relies heavily on Hamas' actions.
