Bryson Nesbit, a promising football player from Charlotte, has long aspired to follow in his father's footsteps. His father, Jamar Nesbit, was an offensive lineman for the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. Bryson's passion for football began at a young age, but he was not allowed to play tackle football until his junior year of high school.

Reflecting on his early interest in the sport, Bryson shared, "Ever since I was little, I have full notebooks of me just drawing up plays." His parents' decision to delay his participation in tackle football mirrored the path taken by his father. "It saved him a lot of hits," Bryson explained about the decision.

While waiting for his chance to play tackle football, Bryson engaged in 7-on-7 or backyard football as a compromise with his parents. During this time, he learned valuable skills from his father. "My dad taught me a lot of blocking," he said.

At the University of North Carolina (UNC), Bryson had opportunities to implement some of his ideas under tight ends coach Freddie Kitchens. However, he acknowledges areas for improvement: "I say the big thing I have to improve on is my inline blocking."

Panthers head coach Dave Canales emphasized the importance of versatility and physicality in tight ends: "We're going to run the ball... so the versatility is really important for me."

Despite missing games due to a wrist injury last season, Bryson remains optimistic about showcasing his skills at upcoming events like Pro Day and possible team visits. He fondly remembers attending Panthers games as a child and expressed excitement about potentially playing for them: "Being around my parents... that would be awesome."
