North Carolina's Severe Weather Preparedness Week is underway, running from March 2 to March 8. As part of the initiative, a media availability event has been scheduled to provide essential information on severe weather preparedness.
The event will feature Alex Moore, Senior Communications Specialist with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services, and Chief Robert Graham, Deputy Director of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management. It is set to take place on March 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at 1453 Lake Drive in Charlotte, N.C.
During this week, North Carolina aims to raise awareness about severe weather and educate the public on safety measures. The focus will be on flood safety tips and the importance of signing up for emergency notifications through CharMeck Alerts.
This annual recognition serves as a reminder for residents to stay informed and prepared for potential severe weather conditions.
