The Carolina Panthers have secured the services of tight end Tommy Tremble, who has agreed to a two-year contract. This agreement was reached shortly after the team finalized a deal with center Austin Corbett.

Tremble, 24, was initially drafted in the third round in 2021. He joined the team alongside Chuba Hubbard, who signed a long-term extension last year. Over time, Tremble has shown growth as an offensive player. Last season, he recorded 23 receptions for 234 yards and scored two touchdowns, one of which was a notable no-look pass from Bryce Young during a game in Atlanta.

Head coach Dave Canales emphasized the value of maintaining consistency within the team at the recent combine. With this new deal, the Panthers retain their entire offensive line from last year's opening game along with Tremble and fellow tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders.

"It's a challenge, right, because you want continuity, and so you talk about a guy like Tommy Tremble," Canales stated. "We're going through all of our film and he does such a great job you know so now it's all of a sudden it's like, in all fairness, let's let Tommy see what's out there from a free agency standpoint."

Canales further expressed his desire to keep trained players within the team: "But for me it's like, OK, we have these guys that we've trained, and you'd love to have them back."
