David Moore, a receiver for the Carolina Panthers, is set to return to the team for another year after signing a new contract. This decision comes as Moore takes a break from his responsibilities on his 56-acre ranch in Texas, where he manages a herd of cattle.

Moore's career faced uncertainty following an MCL injury during the 2022 training camp with the Chicago Bears. However, Dave Canales reached out to him with an opportunity to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rekindling their professional relationship that began in Seattle. Moore has since followed Canales to Charlotte and values their ongoing connection.

"It actually means a lot," said Moore about his relationship with Canales. "It's more than just football. It's kind of like a family thing."

Last season, Moore became a significant downfield threat for quarterback Bryce Young, contributing 32 receptions for 351 yards and three touchdowns. His standout performance against Kansas City highlighted his potential within the offense.

"Me and Bryce kind of got that little connection towards the end," explained Moore. "Repetition makes perfect."

Beyond his contributions on the field, Moore plays a mentorship role among younger players like Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker.

"We have some younger guys that can really take off," said Moore. "We can actually do whatever we want."

For now, however, Moore plans to return to his ranching duties before resuming training in Oklahoma.

"I'm about to go back home and ranch some more," he stated. "It just keeps my mind calm."
